My Personal Goals Progress Update for April 2018
It’s time for my April goals progress update for 2018. If you want to check back you can find my detailed list of 2018 Goals here.
I successfully used this public accountability method in 2017 so see no reason to avoid going public with my goals progress in 2018!
Public accountability is a really useful method for staying on track, it’s also great for reviewing what is and isn’t working. Sometimes that will mean that some goals will change or be removed altogether. But the great thing is that these are my goals, so I can change them as often as I like! If you choose to write up or already have some personal goals then doing a regular review and write up is a great way to stay on track!
So here we go… 🙂
The Summary Table
For 2018 I’ve introduced a summary table, so that I and you can see at a glance if I’m on track!
Fun and Travel
Well April turned out to be a bit of a disappointment on the travel front, as we were unable to make our planned trip to The Cotswolds as my husband contracted a nasty dose of food poisoning! It’s taken him over two weeks to recover and so our trip has been put back to May.
I’m looking forward to finally getting away, and by the time you read this, we’ll be there!
So here’s how our travel plans are now looking:
~> Munich – Complete!
~> The Cotswolds – re-booked for May
~> Vienna – booked for June
~> York – booked for July
~> New York – booked for November
~> The Lake District – not yet booked.
Health
Weight Loss and Fitness
No change in my weight this month. It’s somewhat disappointing, but not unexpected.
Taking care of a sick husband whilst also taking on board his chores was quite challenging, and if I’m honest, food was the last thing on my mind.
I’m hoping May will be kinder!

Home Environment
To Re-Decorate & Furnish Two Rooms (Conservatory & Living Room)
As if by magic, the conservatory is really beginning to take shape! It’s been re-painted and new flooring has been laid which has made a huge difference. We are now on the look-out for a new wall-mounted heater, new lighting and furniture (so all the nice bits!!). There’s so little left to do, and the room is usable, so I’m now going to label this goal as COMPLETE! Yay!!
The living room is now be scheduled for later in the year as we’ll be starting to focus on the garden through the Spring and Summer.
To Re-Vamp My Garden
We’ve had a few days of sunshine, so some tidying up has begun. Furniture that had been dumped in the garden when the conservatory was being re-decced has now been disposed of. The rest is just superficial at the moment, to keep the place looking tidy.
The next stage is to get a plan together of what we’d like the garden to look like when it’s completed.
Relationships
To Log Meet-Ups and Birthdays Remembered
• Meet-ups this month: (2)
• Birthdays remembered (2); missed 🙁 (2)

April was a challenging month. It’s always difficult when someone close to you is ill as it will invariably affect your ability to concentrate. But, well, it’s done now, so onward we go towards May and more fun and challenges!
