My Personal Goals Progress Update for March 2018
It’s time for my March goals progress update for 2018. If you want to check back you can find my detailed list of 2018 Goals here.
I successfully used this public accountability method in 2017 so see no reason to avoid going public with my goals progress in 2018!
Public accountability is a really useful method for staying on track, it’s also great for reviewing what is and isn’t working. Sometimes that will mean that some goals will change or be removed altogether. But the great thing is that these are my goals, so I can change them as often as I like! If you choose to write up or already have some personal goals then doing a regular review and write up is a great way to stay on track!
So here we go… 🙂
The Summary Table
For 2018 I’ve introduced a summary table, so that I and you can see at a glance if I’m on track!
Fun and Travel
Well we’re off the starting blocks with the first of our travel adventures for 2018 with a short hop to Munich during March!
The trip itself almost didn’t happen as both myself and my hubby were ill with a horrible flu virus just before we were due to travel. In fact, the morning we were due to go, we contemplated cancelling the trip as I was particularly poorly! In the end, with lots of fluids and medication on board, we set off about an hour later than planned, which meant a straight 3-hour drive to the airport without a break. Not something I’d recommend!
But, putting that aside, the trip was enjoyable, if a little tiring due to not being 100% healthy! Here are a few photos:
The transport links around Munich are clean, quick and efficient and we managed to get around the city easily, taking in trips to the Nymphenburg Palace, the Olympic Park, scene of the 1972 Olympics and the BMW museum, as well as lots of walking around the city enjoying the good weather, scenery and architecture,
The return trip was also a little fraught as we managed to make it to the flight with just 15 minutes to spare after getting on the wrong train out of the city centre! Note to self: don’t get complacent with travel arrangements!!
Here’s how our travel plans are now looking:
~> Munich – Done!
~> The Cotswolds – booked for April
~> Vienna – booked for June
~> York – booked for July
~> New York – booked for November ***New!***
~> The Lake District – not yet booked.
We had hoped to take in Norway later this year, but haven’t really been able to find a trip that ticked all our boxes, so, we’ve changed our plans and are now heading to New York in November!! I’m super-excited about it!
Health
Weight Loss and Fitness
Another not-so-good month 🙁 .
Two things have contributed to the downward slide – our trip to Munich (great food so not complaining about that!) and not maintaining my subscription to my weightloss group.
I’ve rectified the latter and signed up for a further 12 weeks. The former, of course, is done, but with more trips on the horizon (The Cotswolds very soon!), I’m going to need the group accountability more than ever!

Completed Goals
~ > The weekly subscriber email has been revised and updated.
~ > My vision board has been created.
It’s been a funny old month with some great progress in some areas and not-so-good in other areas. I think the combination of being unwell, travelling and then preparing to launch my new Facebook Group took its toll on other goal areas, but hey, that’s life. It’s time to learn the lessons and move on. We’re already a week into April and the show must go on…which it will 🙂 !
