The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod
Non Fiction
What is the Book About?
The Miracle Morning is a non fiction / self-help book that explores the idea that having a specific morning routine not only sets you up for the day to be more productive, but can also have a longer term positive outcome on your personal success.
What I particularly liked about the book
Some time ago I had a well-established morning routine, but, for many reasons this has fallen by the wayside. I’ve wanted to re-establish this routine, or something similar for quite some time, but have failed to do so.

Reading The Miracle Morning has motivated me to start over, but, even more than that, it’s helped me to understand why my previous routine had such a positive effect on my life. Additionally, The Miracle Morning has given me some extra ideas of what to include and why those additions would be beneficial.
Hal Elrod is very honest in the book and describes the life-changing events which led to him starting his own morning routine that eventually culminated in The Miracle Morning. His story is a great reminder to all of us that we have to make the best of whatever comes our way.
The book is written in a positive and upbeat way, and it’s easy to warm to Hal.
Was there anything I disliked about the book?
As I’d already experienced the benefits of a structured morning routine, some of the information felt repetitive to me and I was able to skip over some of the narrative. However, if you’ve never had a positive morning routine, you will find the book inspiring and will want to have a go yourself!
Round Up
The Miracle Morning is available from Amazon in print and audio format. For speed, I chose to have this book delivered to my kindle so was able to get started on it straight away. However, I would have equally enjoyed The Miracle Morning had I chosen to use my Audible subscription and listened instead. If you’ve yet to try Audible, then you can take advantage of a 30-day free trial using the link below. As you know, I love audible and have been using it for well over 3 years!
Hal Elrod also has a website where he provides more support and information to have your own miracle morning. Here’s the link to his website Miracle Morning if you want to check it out. Hal also recommends that you join his Facebook Group for further motivation and accountability (I’ve joined!).
I really enjoyed The Miracle Morning and am pleased to report that I’ve started to get back into my own morning routine. I’ve incorporated the structure that Hal suggests and I’m finding that this is working well for me 🙂 .
